Grimes County has reinstated the burn ban. Remember not to burn!

Welcome to Windrow, a new venue in the Plantersville area that can host small weddings, rehearsal dinner, proposals, bridal and baby showers, birthday or corporate parties.

Early voting is Monday, Oct. 24 - Friday, Nov. 4. Midterm Election is Nov. 8. All polling locations will be open from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. on election day.

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Wear your pink to represent fear of Breast Cancer - yet hope for the future. October is also Domestic Violence Awareness Month. U.S. Department of Justice estimates that 1.3 million women and 835,000 men are victims of physical violence by a partner every year. One-in-four men are victims of some form of physical violence by an intimate partner. Wear your purple to symbolize peace, survival, honor and personal dedication against domestic violence.

There will be a clean-up event open to all residents of Grimes County Saturday, Oct. 8, in Stoneham and Oct. 22, in Anderson. There is a limit of six tires per day per resident and tires need to be stacked in the trailer. This event is not for commercial customers. Paint, batteries, appliances or electronics are not allowed.
