Health First Fair Oct. 11

Early voting is Monday, Oct. 24, through Friday, Nov. 4. Midterm Election is Nov. 8. All poll locations will be open from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. on election day.

The Health First Fair will be held at the Grimes County Fairgrounds, 5220 FM 3455 Rd, in Navasota Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be a clean up event open to all residents of Grimes County Saturday, Oct. 8, in Stoneham and Oct. 22, in Anderson. There is a limit of six tires per day per resident and tires need to be stacked in the trailer. This event is not for commercial customers. Paint, batteries, appliances or electronics are not allowed. Anyone in the Blackberry Community interested in having a National Night Out please contact me, 936-894-2094. We have many new neighbors in the community we don’t know or haven’t met. Thanks in advance. District 9 4-H Junior Leadership Lab registration is now open online, and deadline to register is Oct. 12. The Teen Leader Application for the Nov. 11-12 in Livingston is open to senior aged 4-H members to volunteer at junior leader lab. Navasota National Night Out is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 18. Last day to register is noon, Oct. 14, if you want to host a block party. Navasota Farmer’s Market is Oct. 8, at the Navasota Public Library from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Macedonia Baptist Church, 6957 CR 206, Plantersville in the Blackberry Community is officially open. Sunday services start at 9:30 a.m. for Sunday School and 10:30 a.m. for morning worship. Southern Charm Boutique and Salon in Navasota is partnering with Christian Community Services in Navasota to fill their food pantry. They began accepting items Sept. 15 and will continue to collect through Nov.
