This week has been crazy to say the least. I don’t even know what events to report or which ones that have been canceled. It is just my opinion that this Coronavirus situation has been blown way out of proportion. Everyone needs to use common sense and just do what you would normally due to prevent a flu or virus. It’s also the time of year that pollen is falling, and allergies are flaring. We can’t win for losing! Working as a church secretary, my phones rang off the wall the last half of the week. The Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston informed the parishes to also use common sense. If you are sick or your immune system is down, by all means just stay home. You will not be “punished” if you don’t attend Mass or go to a church service. Don’t take the chance of being exposed to any kind of flu or virus or exposing others. Hopefully this situation will pass soon, and things will get back to our normal way of living each day.

Because of all the Coronavirus craziness, the Knights of Columbus Council #4054 has canceled their upcoming Crawfish Boil that was set for Saturday, Mar. 21.

Sunday, Mar. 29, is this year’s date for the St. Stanislaus Spring Festival in Anderson at their parish hall. This yearly event is held from 11 a.m. till 2 p.m. Hot dogs and hamburgers will be served. There will be games as well as a live and silent auction. A raffle will also include prizes of a $500 Visa gift card; $400 Walmart gift card; $300 Visa gift card; XBOX One; Sceptre 50” 4K Ultra HD Led TV; $200 Grand Station gift card; and a Shark Ion Robot Vacuum. Proceeds from the festival will benefit the CCE program. Everyone is invited to enjoy a fun afternoon, so bring your kids and your neighbor’s kids too! You will be much appreciated!
