New roof installed on community center

Well folks, I guess winter is still with us. I and others had to order propane again. Guess winter will continue for a few weeks. Ground Hog Day is Feb. 2.

Landon Reed, a third grader at Iola Elementary has been on the prayer list at Evergreen Baptist Church for a while. He is doing a little better, but he still has health issues and still needs prayer. Do remember him in your prayers.

Iola North Zulch No 458 will have had their monthly meeting by the time this column publishes. Do hope it went well. 

Guess it is almost time for income taxes to be due. Hope everything goes well. I am almost ready for the statement to be ready. 

I had open heart surgery five years ago on Jan. 23. Everything is still going well. Thanks to God’s goodness and mercy I am still alive and well.

Pyramid Masonic Lodge No. 53 will not meet this month. Their next meeting is Tuesday, Feb. 21. 

The fellowship hall at Fellowship Baptist Church in Caldwell hasn’t been restored since it sustained water damage. They are still expecting help from their insurance. Do remember them in your prayers. 

Orphans Friend Masonic Lodge No. 17 will meet at their lodge hall in Anderson Monday, Feb. 6, beginning with a meal at 6 p.m. Bedias Masonic Lodge No. 651 will meet Tuesday, Feb. 7, beginning with a meal at 6:30 p.m. Meetings are open to all Masons.

Keith Civic Club will meet Thursday, Jan. 26. The meeting will begin with a covered dish meal at 6:30 p.m. Hope everyone will be able to attend. Look forward to seeing you there.

A new roof has been installed on the Keith Community Center. Thanks to everyone that contributed money to make the project possible. May God bless them all.
