The Plantersville-Stoneham VFD annual bazaar is April 16, at 15985 FM 1774 in Plantersville. The bazaar will feature food, games, an auction, raffle and more. Volunteers are needed. For more information visit www.planters-stoneham-vfd.com.
Saddle Up and prepare to run cancer out of town at the annual Grimes County Relay for Life April 14, from 6:30-10 p.m. The event will be held at Navasota City Hall. Follow the Relay for Life of Grimes County Facebook page for more information.

A Community Service Project Book Drive is being hosted by 4-H March 1 through May 29. They are collecting gently used books for children, teens and adults. Tag in for Market Swine is March 21, from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Fairgrounds. ShoWorks Registration Deadline is March 23. Entry Fee is $15 per head at tag in.
Spring break is over, and I survived Disney World with five children, four adults and a 14-hour drive straight through. I enjoyed every minute of it.

St Joseph's Catholic Church in Stoneham is hosting a fish fry at Knights of Columbus Hall in Anderson March 24. Serving will start at 5 p.m. and the cost is $15.
Applications are open for MidSouth Electric Scholarships. Graduating seniors planning to attend college, university, trade or technical school may apply for a $1,000 scholarship. Parents or legal guardians must be a member of MidSouth Electric Co-op. The application deadline is March 30.
