The weather couldn’t have been more wonderful, and the crowd was the best for our annual Trunk or Treat event Saturday. Thanks to everyone who participated and attended to help make this event what it is each year.

You won’t want to miss this annual event. St. Mary’s famous and huge rummage sale is set for Saturday, Nov. 2, on the church grounds in Plantersville from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. There is a $5 cash admission charge between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. for our Early Bird Shoppers. There is no charge after 9 a.m. Over 1100 families have contributed items to this event throughout the year and coordinator Sonya Yeglin says there is more stuff for sale than ever before. There is something for everyone. You will find good clean clothing, linens, crafts, appliances, kitchenware, knickknacks, holiday décor, furniture, electronics, toys, sporting goods, books, wall hangings, collectibles and much more all at a bargain price. Food and soft drinks can be purchased at the concession stand. Cash, local checks and credit cards will be accepted. For more information, call the parish office, 936-894-2223 or visit www.smsj.org.
