Town of Anderson Clean Up Day is Saturday, April 29 from 8 a.m. to noon. Start gathering brush, tree limbs and non-household trash on your property. Tires or hazardous materials will not be accepted.A container will be placed at the corner of Main St. and FM 1774 for four hours to dispose of your items free of charge. If you are not able to take your debris to the disposal area but can get it to the street or are elderly or disabled and need help, call the office, 936-8733102, Karen, 936-827-9422 or Daryl, 936-870-6025. The town is also looking for volunteers to help that morning, so students or anyone needing community service or volunteer hours can bring their paperwork to be signed off on. This is a great opportunity for 4-H, scout troops, church youth or any other organization. They could also use manpower with trucks and trailers to help pick up debris throughout the town. So, residents of Anderson, band together to clean up your town and be proud of what you’ve got.
