Yoga for a Cause benefits local VFD
Happy New Year from my house to yours!
New Year’s Eve was no different than any other year for me. I was home listening to fireworks and watching TV until midnight. At my age, I do not like driving at night when I think the traffic may be heavy.
Union Grove Baptist Church, 15301 FM 362, invites the Whitehall and neighboring communities to a Church Social Jan. 21, from 5-8 pm. There will be hot dogs, smores and hayrides. Everyone is welcome.
Yoga for A Cause
Anyone wanting to participate in Yoga for A Cause are invited to Salem Lutheran Church on the first Saturday of the month at 11 a.m. for Yoga for A Cause. Your donation of any amount for the class will go towards the Whitehall Community Volunteer Fire Department. Please bring a mat and props such as your blocks, yoga straps and a blanket. All levels are welcome.
Please add our sick and homebound friends to your prayer list. These friends include Lois Bell, Jean Fleischhauer, Margaret and Pastor Schultz, Sue Kolojaco, Mary Bauer, Rosa Finke, Delores Mitschke, Mary Whatley, Billie Wittenbach, Alexander Hanna, Troy Weigand, Shawn Welch, Wyndy Kimich, Clay Oncken and Betty Feldmann.
I am happy to report that Pastor Schultz was at Salem for service on Sunday. It sure was good to see and visit with him. In addition, Wyndy Kimich seems to be doing well and Shawn Welch is home and continuing rehab. It is my understanding that Betty Feldmann is still in rehab.
The White Hall Taxpayers Association met for their first quarterly meeting of 2023 on Thursday. There were 12 members present along with one visitor. The main topic discussed was the annual fundraiser planned for Saturday, April 22. More information is forthcoming.
