Chris and Virginia Lewis of Anderson hosted a shindig at their home in Anderson Saturday afternoon. Guests included family, old friends and new friends. When I asked Chris what the occasion was, he replied “no reason other than just getting together with our friends that we haven’t gotten to see in a while.” Lots of visiting and reminiscing went on. The guys did all the barbecuing, side dishes and dessert were cooked by Pam Szymanski. The guests enjoyed every bite they put in their mouth and went home with a full tummy.

Many hearts were saddened this week with the loss of Bruce Crenshaw of Anderson and husband of Sandra. Bruce was the best mechanic of any type vehicle or tractor in town. Many came from all over to have Bruce work on their vehicle. Don, as well as many, will miss his visits with Bruce as he was the best philosopher in town! Condolences and prayers go out to this family as they try to make it through this difficult time.
