Christ Our Light Bazaar this Sunday
Fr. Giovanni and members of Christ Our Light Catholic Church in Navasota invite you to their 39th Annual Fall Bazaar, Sunday, Sept. 24 beginning at 11 a.m on the church grounds, 9677 N. Hwy. 6 Loop. Time is running out to order your 4-H pecans. My fourthgrade grandson Luke Waitz is selling them so if you need to place an order, call his mom Brandi Waitz, 936-537-6488 or me, Gail Sowell, 936-8706842. You may also order them from any 4-Her or by calling the 4-H extension office, 936873-3907. Deadline to order is Oct. 3.
Knights of Columbus Council #4054 recently presented the Knight of the Month award to Ian Campbell and the Family of the Month to Robert and Beth Jesurun. Don’t forget, the KC Hall is available for rent. Check it out if you need a facility for a family reunion, birthday party or anniversary celebration. St. Stanislaus Altar Society met the first Thursday of September at the church rectory. One of the agenda items was to hold their officer elections. Delores Posinski has held the office of president for many years and was ready to step down and turn it over to someone else. Newly elected officers include: President Ella Richmond; Vice-President Linda Toler; Secretary Loraine Weaver and Treasurer Georgia Abraham.
