The anniversary of Pearl Harbor was Dec. 7. We had one person that died at that time. Waymon Honey Blount from Keith died in Battleship Arizona. There is a monument placed by his family in the Evergreen Cemetery. Others that died in the service since World War I are Robert Crenshaw (WWI), Tommy T. Rice (WW2), Elton L. Gomillion (WW2), Charlie Cook (Vietnam) and Michael Moran (Vietnam). May God bless their memories.
