The Grimes County Mobile Food Bank will be open Thursday, Oct. 12 from 10-11:30 a.m. in the back-parking lot of the Grimes County Fairgrounds in Navasota. Any resident of Grimes County will be served and only needs to show their driver’s license when they complete the once-a-year Client Assistant Intake form. Emily Thomas is putting together a multifamily community yard sale Saturday, Oct. 14 from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. at 5784 FM 1486 in Richards. The Anderson-Shiro Elementary PTO Fall Festival is Friday, Oct. 20, on the elementary school grounds. This event will be held from 5:30-8 p.m. Silent auction opens at 5:30 p.m. and live auction is set to begin at 7 p.m.
