Citizens State Bank (CSB) employees fundraise throughout the year and generally the funds are donated to Grimes County Relay for Life exclusively. This year the employees at CSB decided to share money raised with other non-profit organizations.

In the first quarter money was distributed to Relay for Life. In quarter two CSB employees donated $550 to the Navasota Animal Shelter to assist with their needs. In the current quarter funds are being raised for The Christian Community Center’s food pantry and in the final quarter funds will go toward Navasota Police Department’s “Blue Santa” toy drive. According to bank employees, other non-profit organizations are already on the radar to benefit from next year’s fundraisers.

Funds donated are the direct result from fundraisers organized by CSB employees, community members who donate baked goods or silent auction items throughout the year and are not a donation from CSB personally.

Bank employees are excited about the generous support they receive from the community during bake sales and silent auctions and are ecstatic to focus more on local projects with evident results impacting the community.
