Anderson life lost in motorcycle crash

IOLA- An Anderson woman lost her life in a motorcycle accident Saturday, Dec. 7.

Texas Department of Public Safety Sergeant Jimmy Morgan stated Rebecca Lewis, 64, of Anderson was traveling northbound on Farm to Market 244, 11 miles south of Iola when her 2018 Harley Davidson motorcycle left the roadway and overturned.

Morgan said the cause for the motorcycle leaving the roadway has not been determined and is still under investigation. Lewis was reportedly not wearing a helmet.

Lewis was pronounced deceased on scene by justice of the peace Precinct 2 Judge Lester Underwood.
