ANDERSON- One victim was airlifted, and another transported via ambulance after a driver ran a stop sign Friday, Feb. 14.

At approximately 6:19 a.m., a 2001 Ford F-250 pickup driven by Scott Reina, age 51, was traveling southbound on Farm to Market Road 2562. Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol Trooper Byron Elders reported Reina disregarded the stop sign at the intersection of FM 2562 and Texas State Highway 149 in Anderson.

Reina collided with the middle left section of a 2003 CMV Trailer that was heading east on SH 149 and being pulled by a 2007 Freightliner driven by Bernard Wyatt, age 48. Elder’s report stated Reina wasn’t wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision. Reina was transported via PHI to CHI St. Joseph’s in Bryan in stable condition.

Wyatt was transported via ambulance to Baylor Scott and White Hospital in College Station.

Reina was charged in the incident with “Disregard to Stop Sign.”
