Girl Scouts meet with Mayor Miller

Navasota Mayor Bert Miller, an Eagle Scout, met with Girl Scout Troop 101 at the Navasota Public Library in Navasota Sept. 5,
He spoke about the constitutional rights and obligations of a U.S. citizen. Scoutmaster Jessica Krouse said this is one of the requirements toward the rank of Eagle Scout, available to girls since 2019. The Troop partners with Navasota Noon Lions Club and has participated in many of their events.
They have staffed the Grimes County mobile food bank, participated in Wreaths Across America at Oakland Cemetery, marched in the Veterans Day parade, etc.
