Grimes County awarded FEMA funds

Grimes County has been awarded federal funds made available through the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/Federal Emergency Management Agency under the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program (EFSP).

Grimes county has been chosen to receive $10,753.00 to supplement emergency food and shelter programs in the counties. Any organization working to cover a broad spectrum of the residents in these counties in the areas of emergency food, shelter, and utility needs is invited to apply. Visit www.uwbv.org for more information and to download an application form. Applications are due to United Way by 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2019. A meeting of the local FEMA Emergency Food and Shelter Board will be held Monday, July 15, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the United Way of the Brazos Valley Office, 1716 Briarcrest Dr., Ste. 155, Bryan, TX 77802.
