Grimes County Go Texan Crawfish Boil

The 14th annual Grimes County Go Texan Crawfish Boil will be held Saturday, April 13, at the Grimes County Expo Center. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Music will be provided by Silver Wings Ballroom Mobile DJ Services. There will be all you can eat crawfish, sausage, potatoes, and corn on the cob provided by Embeaux’s. Beverages will be free and/or BYOB. Single tickets are $50 and can be purchased from any Go Texan Committee Member or at the door. Reserved tables are $450 for 10 tickets. Children 5-years-old and younger are free.

Added attractions this year will be a 50/50 drawing – tickets are $10 each. The Go Texan proceeds from the drawing will be donated to The Wayne Allphin Scholarship Fund. There will also be a Balloon Pop for $20 per balloon. There will be five $100 cash prizes.

According to organization members, the committee works hard as a team to raise funds to assist the youth of Grimes County through scholarships and donations to local youth group organizations and other organizations such as NISD Foundation, ASCISD Foundation, Special Olympics, local fire departments, local food bank, toys for tots, Grimes County Expo Center Pee Wee Activities and Ag Mechanics and the Grimes County Little League.

The Grimes County Go Texan Committee consists of the following members: Gary Moriarity, Ambassador; Donna Gessner, Vice-President; Stacey Ross, Treasurer; Molly Hurst, Secretary; and members Danny Clark, David Dobyanski, Randy Duke, Eddie Eppler, Cary Hackler, Larry Harvey, Tammy Harvey, Roy Henderson, Lee Igo, Angie Imhoff, Pierce Key, Randy Krueger, Michele McNew, Ricky Schroeder, Chris Tagudin, Carla Bosse, Jordan Hargrove, Ken Mock and Cole Price.

The public is invited to come out and enjoy the Go Texan Crawfish Boil and help support the youth of Grimes County.
