Anderson-Shiro High School senior and Zion Lutheran Church member, Matthew Lamb, was promoted to Eagle Scout from Boy Scouts of America Troop 361 on Sunday, March 6. He is the 52 nd Eagle Scout since 1941.

Lamb’s Eagle Scout project was a much-needed beautification project at the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in Anderson. In addition to earning the necessary badges needed for Eagle Scout, he also earned enough merit badges to earn his Bronze, Gold, and Silver Palms, nearly 50 merit badges total.

Attending the Eagle Court of Honor ceremony were Lamb’s parents, Rev. Richard and Carolyn Lamb, family, friends, and fellow scouts. He also received a letter of recognition from Grimes County Judge Joe Fauth III and a challenge coin to remind him to live by the Scouting Ideals learned in the Scout Oath and Scout Laws.
