The Navasota Public Library is hosting a book signing by Randy Wells for his book Few Fathers, 6 Principles for Training Boys to Men on August 14, 2023 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wells will be accompanied by Father Stephen F. Whaley of St. Peters Episcopal Church, President of Washington County Ministerial Association Pastor Calvin Kossie and Atwood Kenjura, Mayor of Brenham, TX.

Wells has been a resident of Brenham for 18 years after fleeing Hurricane Katrina in 2005. He said that many predict bad outcomes for children growing up in a fatherless home. “This book is more than a positive spin but a personal testimony of how, after the untimely death of my father, men in my family and the community stepped up to support my mother as she raised me,” Wells said. “Anyone can use the six principles I have outlined as a training curriculum to train boys in schools, church youth groups, group homes/residential programs, and athletic programs.”

The library is at 1411 E. Washington Ave. in Navasota, TX. Call 936825-6744 for more information or visit their website, navasotatx.gov/ public-library.
