The Pocahontas Society Children of the American Revolution met at the Whiting Family Cemetery in Washington Nov. 13, to clean, mow and rebuild fence.

This project was researched, planned, and organized by PSCAR President Reagan Meredith. Members posed by Shivers Whiting, Jr.’s gravesite after honoring this WWII Veteran with flags. Society members will be returning to lay a wreath on Mr. Whiting’s grave in December and will complete the fence building in January with painting in April 2023.

The Pocahontas Society will also support Wreaths Across America by placing wreaths at Oakland Cemetery in Navasota in December.

Anyone interested in joining the patriotic group is urged to email, pocahontassocietynscar@gmail.com.
