A possible medical issue may be to blame in a single-vehicle accident that took the life of a man originally from Milford, Michigan, Wednesday morning.

Navasota Police Chief Shawn Myatt stated approximately 10 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 23, James McCall, 67, of Navasota was observed by witnesses driving a pickup truck in the O’Reilly Auto Part’s parking lot heading east. His truck crossed La-Salle Street and jumped the curb before crashing head-on into an abandoned building.

Myatt said initially it seems a medical issue is likely the cause of McCall crashing his truck and the accident doesn’t appear to be severe enough to have taken his life.

McCall was transported to CHI St. Joseph Grimes Hospital in Navasota where he was pronounced deceased.
