Skeletal remains identified

TODD MISSION – The skeletal remains located in Todd Mission Saturday, July 17, were positively identified as Mark Robertson, 63, from Houston.

Harris County Sheriff’s Office Investigators along with volunteers from Alpha Search Recovery followed a lead to a Grimes County property near Greenway Drive and Farm-to-Market Road 1774. At approximately 9 a.m., with the assistance of Grimes County Sheriff’s Office, skeletal remains were located in a secluded area. Grimes County Sherriff’s Investigator Blake Baldobino stated the remains were not buried.

The remains were transported to Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas where they were positively identified through dental records. A cause of death has not been determined.

Baldobino said Robertson was reported missing June 17. Friends reported last speaking to Robertson on May 31. He is believed to have arrived in Grimes County at the end of May or early June.
