Grimes County VFW Post 4006 honored Navasota High School Special Education teacher and lead with the Smart/Maher VFW National Citizenship Education Teacher Award. The award recognizes America’s best educators who instill a sense of national pride in students. Brown was nominated for the award because of his outstanding patience, technology skills, and time spent working with our children at school, along with all of the outside organizations and community service involvement he participates in outside of school during his "free time." Pictured with brown is VFW Post Commander Hal Reed.
