St. Mary’s Wolf Sanctuary broke ground on its future location, 6731 Pavlock Rd. in Navasota. Its current location is a 3.7-acre lease property in Montgomery County, but in 2017 a 15-acre tract was purchased. The enclosures will provide housing for wolves featuring in ground dens and water features that exceed standards. The sanctuary rescues and houses wolves that aren’t able to be returned to the wild.
