DONALD (DON) LEONBERG, SR. 1953 – 2022

Donald (Don) Leonberg Sr., a 42-year resident of Navasota, TX, died of natural causes at his home in LaJara, CO, on September 26, 2022. Don was born in New Brighton, PA, March 30, 1953. Don graduated from Freedom High School and married his high school sweetheart, Chris, on March 30, 1973. They would have celebrated their 50^th wedding anniversary on, March 30, 2023. Don worked and retired from Ellwood Forging Industries. 

Don is survived by his wife, Christine (Chris) of Iola; his children Lara Meece and husband Bo of Anderson, Dawn Riess and husband Josh Riess of Belton, and Donald (Donnie) Leonberg Jr. and wife Wendy of Iola; grandchildren, Bo Dylan Meece, Tyler Moehlman, Paige Meece, Maeghan Leonberg, Nicholas Riess, and Sidney Berry; great-grandchildren, Mason Holley and Sidney Moehlman; brothers, Leslie and Robert Leonberg of PA. 

He is preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Bertha Leonberg. 

Don’s greatest joy was always his family. Don was a devoted follower of Christ. He will be deeply missed by friends, family, and all who knew him. No public funeral or memorial services will be held. His family will have a private celebration of life. No donations are needed.
