Ms. Jerry Lynn Jericho, 75, of Dobbin, died Thursday evening, September 12, 2019, at her home surrounded by family and friends.

A gathering of family and friends took place Monday, September 16, 2019, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home. A celebration of Jerry’s life was held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Craig of First Baptist in Ruston, Louisiana, officiating. Interment followed in the Bethel Cemetery in Dacus.

Serving as pallbearers were Dustin Hernandez, Robert Duff, Anthony Small. Brian Busse, Duane Shumaker and Dennis Carey. Named as honorary pallbearer was Cody Tullos.

Jerry Lynn was born September 26, 1943 in Houston to Smilin’ Jerry Jericho and Adell Johnson Jericho. Jerry Lynn performed on her fathers’ radio show when she was a little girl. This was the start of her musical career. Throughout her life she was in various groups and bands and one of her favorites were the Ghostriders. Jerry Lynn sang on many shows with her cousin, Johnny Bush; Freddie Fender, and many others.

Jerry Lynn and Red Smith had a daughter, Dana Smith Rabun. Jerry Lynn and Red were known around town for their motorcycles and race cars. When Dana was old enough to sing with her grandpa and mom, you could hear them singing gospel favorites together.

Jerry Lynn was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Gary Wayne Jericho.

Survivors include her daughter Dana Smith Rabun and her favorite son-in-law Steve Rabun of Montgomery; step children Glen Smith, Daryl Smith and Kalyne Smith Spears of Houston; Jerry’s stepmother, Doris Jericho of Milli-can, sisters include Debra Hadley and husband Bill of Navasota, Beverly Moreland and husband John of Magnolia and P.B. Simmons and husband Doug of Millican. Grandchildren include Casie Rabun (Robert Duff) of Anderson, Calli Hernandez (Dustin) of Montgomery, Carly Small of Anderson, Glen Smith, Jr. (Barbara), Ashley Bradley, Brooke Ponder and Brandon Spears (Brittney); great-grandchildren imberly, Kellie, Maddy, Cody, Connor, Dalton, Carson, Morgann, Falyn, Emma, Regan, Eli, Preston, Adrian, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews and beloved friends.
