LARRY W. SECHELSKI, SR. 1961 – 2020

Larry Wayne Sechelski, Sr., 58, of Anderson, died Monday, January 6, 2020, while working in New Iberia, Louisiana.

A gathering of family and friends took place from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, January 12, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Stoneham. A vigil service with Deacon Grant Holt presiding was held at 6:00 p.m. with a parish rosary that followed led by Susan Wisnoski. A Funeral Mass celebrating Larry’s life was celebrated 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 13, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Msgr. Adam McClosky as the celebrant. The rite of committal followed in St. Stanislaus Church Cemetery, in Anderson. A reception was held immediately following in St. Stanislaus Parish Hall.

Serving as pallbearers were Steve Crutchfield, Kenneth Sechelski, Kirk Cuthrell, Jason Blanchard, Archie Sechelski, Jr., Joe Sechelski, Tommy Mock and Michael Wisnoski. Named as honorary pallbearers were Dr. Daniel Fromme, Conrow Moritz, James Lawrence, Freddie Heyman and Cole Abke.

Larry was born Wednesday, December 20, 1961 in Houston to Archie Adam and Barbara Nowak Sechelski. At the age of 7, his family returned to Grimes County where Larry has lived ever since. He spent the majority of his working life in the oilfield industry but gained the most enjoyment from his work on the family farm.

Larry married the love of his life, Carol Ann Heyman, on February 2, 1980. Larry enjoyed the simple life which included all of his family and his many friends. Larry never met a stranger and he loved hunting, fishing and gardening. Larry was preceded in death by his father, Archie Sechelski, Sr.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Carol, of Anderson; his mother, Barbara Sechelski of Navasota; sons, Larry Sechelski, Jr. and wife Crystal and their children Ayla and Dalton and Christopher Sechelski and wife Kristin and their children, Audrey and Conley, all of Anderson; brothers, Archie Adam Sechelski, Jr. and friend Ramona and Joe Thomas Sechelski and wife Theresa, all of Navasota; sisters, Donna Abke of Navasota, Sandra Mock and husband Thomas of Stoneham and Kimberly Moritz and husband Con-row of Anderson; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a great number of friends.

In lieu of usual remembrances, the family has requested memorials in Larry’s name to either St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 388, Plantersville, TX 77363 or St. Stanislaus Catholic Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 210, Anderson, TX 77830.
