Richard Earl Fagan, 77, of Anderson, died Saturday morning, February 29, 2020, at Madisonville Care Center.

Calling hours will be held Friday, March 6, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will take place 12:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7, at Coaxberry Baptist Church in Plantersville. Interment will follow in the Little Flock Cemetery in Piedmont.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jack Bowen, Harold Minor, Jr. Love, Raphael Mitchell, Will Steptoe, Robert Lowery and Gerald Love. Named as honorary pallbearers are Timmis Fagan, Corey Fagan, D.J. Offing, Mar’Tavion Offing, Ja’Corian Fagan, Kaiden Fagan and Carter Fagan.

Richard was born May 27, 1942 in Anderson, to Robert and Della Johnson Fagan. A lifelong resident of Grimes County, Richard was a member of Coaxberry Baptist Church. He was a retired rancher and salvage collector.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Mary Fagan; brothers, Sali, John and Willie Fagan; sisters Katie and Yulanda Fagan; granddaughter, JaMya Rodgers and great grandson, Kentrevious Fagan.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are daughters, Cynthia Fagan and Risha Simpson of Anderson and LaTasha Holiday of College Station; sons, Dominic Fletcher of Navasota and Willie Rolling of Bedias; brothers, Allen Fagan of Huntsville, Andrew Fagan of Montgomery and Joe Fagan of Anderson; sisters, Earlie Collins of Huntsville, Mary Williams of Navasota and Mae Lee Lewis of Anderson.
