MILANO – A technical difficulty delayed the start of the game, and Milano’s defense delayed the start of Iola’s offense in a 41-6 loss to the Eagles Friday, Oct.14.

Milano (6-0, 2-0) scored four times in the opening-half on runs of 13, 50 and 66 yards and a 64-yard pass. The Eagles scored twice in the second half on runs of 15 and 1 yards. Iola (1-7, 0-2) found the endzone in the final quarter on a 92-yard run by Cooper Cadro.

Brian Crosby connected on 14 of his 32 passes for 103 yards and an interception. He rushed for 64 yards on 12 carries. Cale Creamer led the receiving corps with four catches for 28 yards with a long of nine.

Iola prepares to face off with the Bartlett Bulldogs Friday, Oct. 21, during Homecoming 2022. The game is slated for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
