8TH GRADE A TEAM (1-0) LAGRANGE 0, NAVASOTA 33 The Fangs dominated on the ground scoring four rushing touchdowns.

Caysien Douglass Scored on runs of 54 and 9 yards. Angel Delarosa hauled in a 17-yard touchdown pass from Jayden Spriggs.

Derrick Booker carried the ball in from four yards out and Spriggs crossed the goal line for a 6-yard score.

Offensinvely the Fangs had great blocks on the outside by Quincy Mc-Lean, Jaydon Thomas, Jeffery Clerkley, and Jose Garcia to set up big run plays.

Defensively linebacker play shut down the outside run led by Jaydon Thomas, Gabriel Ramon and Erick Bennett.

The shutout included two takeaways, interceptions by Spriggs and Ja’Kavion Coles.

8TH GRADE B TEAM (1-0) LAGRANGE 13, NAVASOTA 25 Navasota followed great outside blocking to score two rushing touchdowns and two through the air.

Devyn Colunga scored on a 17-yard run. Michael Henson had a 40-yard touchdown run and a 23-yard touchdown catch. Makai Myles had a 3-yard touchdown catch.

Michael Henson had an Interception. The outside linebacker group came up big this week stopping the outside run. They were led by Makai Myles and Akayvion Booker.

7TH GRADE A TEAM (1-0) NAVASOTA 31, LAGRANGE 6 Navasota scored four times in the opening half. Trystan Cross scored three rushing touchdowns and a pick-6.

Cross scored on a 60-yard run. Quarterback Collin Dacus ran in the conversion.

Cross picked off a Leopard pass and returned it 56 yards. He scored twice more in the half on runs of 29 and 56 yards.

Dacus connected with Ja’Mardre Stevenson for a 65-yard touchdown in the third to finalize the Fang scoring.

7TH GRADE B TEAM (1-0) NAVASOTA 12, LAGRANGE 7 Quentin Jessie scored a pair of rushing touchdowns to lift the Fangs past the Leopards. He scored on runs of 4 and 15 yards.

Leading tacklers were Julian Hernandez and Kenneth Hosea.
