CALDWELL — Navasota seventh grade Fang football teams took the sting out of the Hornets Sept. 19, shutting out Caldwell in both A and B team games.
7th Grade A Team (2-0) The Fangs scored touchdowns in each of the three opening quarters to beat Caldwell 21-0. Trystan Cross scored two rushing touchdowns. His first quarter touchdown was 77 yards. His second quarter touchdown was from 9 yards out. Fang quarterback, Collin Dacus, ran in both conversions.
Dacus had a 55-yard rushing touchdown in the third. Cross ran in the conversion.
Defensive standouts include Victor Cerda and Brasen Ramos. Wyatt Mizell had an interception in the game.
7th Grade B Team (2-0) Navasota’s seventh grade B team also scored touchdowns in each of the first three quarters to blow past Caldwell 19-0.
Javyn Williams scored all three Fang touchdowns on runs of 65, 2 and 22 yards. Quinton Jessie ran in the first conversion, but the other two conversions failed.
Defensive standouts include Julian Hernandez, John Arbuckle and Zaelyn Harris.
