Lady Rattlers fall to Greyhounds

MANOR – The Navasota Lady Rattlers clinched a 4A Area Round Championship with a 61-57 win over La Vernia Feb. 17.

Navasota was led by senior Nala Richardson with 27 points, 11 rebounds and four steals. Junior, Bryanna Stokes scored 14 points. Jalyn Williams and Kylie Steptoe each grabbed eight rebounds.

The Lady Rattlers advanced to the Regional Quarterfinals to battle the No. 2 ranked Boerne Lady Greyhounds at East View High School in Georgetown. Navasota’s season ended with a 54-33 loss. The Lady Rattlers were 33-5 overall.

Navasota graduates three seniors, Nala Richardson, who scored over 1,000 points for her career, Kylie Steptoe and Daviah Byrd.
