Lady Rattlers tied for first

Entering the final week of District 25-4A competition, the No. 18 Navasota Lady Rattlers share the top spot with the Royal Lady Falcons.

 

The Lady Rattlers picked up a pair of wins Jan. 24, and Jan. 27, over Wharton and El Campo. Navasota (29-4, 9-1) knocked off Wharton on the road 61-22. Nala Richardson paced the Lady Rattlers with 19 points and seven rebounds. Rihanna Rush added 11 points. Jalyn Williams grabbed eight rebounds and Leyonce Williams had six steals.

 

Navasota defeated the El Campo Lady Ricebirds 75-33. Richardson and Bryanna Stokes had huge nights. Richardson scored 23 points and recorded five steals. Stokes scored 19, had eight steals and seven assists. Daviah Byrd grabbed eight rebounds.

 

Navasota JV beat the Ricebirds 52-32 to improve to 21-2, 10-0. 

 

The Lady Rattlers traveled to Sealy Jan. 31 (results were not available at press time). Navasota hosts Bellville Feb. 3.
