Lady Rattlers vying for top spot

Navasota continues its quest for a District 25-4A Championship picking up wins over El Campo and Sealy.

 

No. 21 Navasota (24-4, 3-1) beat the El Campo Ricebirds 74-46, Jan. 3. Nala Richardson had a great night with 22 points and nine steals. Bryanna Stokes added 17 points and eight assists. Freshman Rihanna Rush scored 15 points and had five steals. Navasota’s JV team picked up a 48-30 win.

 

The Lady Rattlers hosted Sealy Jan. 6, picking up a 48-21 victory. Jalyn Williams led Navasota with 12 points and seven rebounds. Kylie Steptoe grabbed nine rebounds and had four steals. Stokes dished out eight assists. Lady Rattler JV improved to 17-2 and 5-0 in District 25-4A with a 38-16 win over Sealy.

 

Navasota traveled to Bellville Jan. 10 (results were not available at press time). The Lady Rattlers play at Needville Jan. 17, with tip-off scheduled for 4:30 and 5:45 p.m.
