Lopez qualifies as state alternate

DUBLIN — The Navasota Varsity Boy’s Powerlifting team competed at the 4A Regional Powerlifting Meet Saturday, March 12 at Dublin High School with one earning alternate for the state meet.

Jose Lopez finished in third place at the meet and will be an alternate for the 4A UIL State Meet. Eduardo Perez finished in ninth place with a total lift of 1,205 pounds. Kaleb Walter and Noah Silcox also competed but didn’t record a legal lift.
