Owls defeat Bulldogs

CENTERVILLE — Anderson-Shiro finished 1-3 at the Centerville Varsity Basketball Tournament Dec. 7-9.

The Owls had losses to Dawson, 63-61, and Buffalo, 50-45. Anderson-Shiro beat Iola 45-27. In the win over the Bulldogs, Kevin Smith led the way with 14 points. Evan Borski and Christian Schroeder scored 10 each.

Rounding out the scoring were Roe Rivera with four, Aidan Moyers 3, and Ta’Colby Calhoun and Kason Yargo with two points each.

The Owls played at Hempstead Dec. 12. Results were not available at press time. Anderson-Shiro will host Crockett Friday, Dec. 15, and at New Waverly Tuesday, Dec. 19.
