Navasota and Bellville combined for 70 points in freshman action that ended in a tie at Rattler Stadium Sept. 7.
Kynnavion Chappel led the Rattlers with three touchdowns including a 99-yard rushing touchdown in the opening quarter. Isaias Gomez booted in the point-after.
Ahmari Williams hauled in his two receiving touchdowns in the second quarter. Wyatt Henry connected with him on scores of seven, and 6-yards. Gomez completed both scores.
Chappel scored on a 32-yard run in the third and a 35-yard run in the fourth. He also added a conversion on the third-quarter score.
Special team standout, Za’Tyrick Collins, had 110 all purpose yards. Defensively Spencer Ellis had five tackles and a fumble recovery. Evan Magallon had seven tackles and DJ McGinty had four tackles and a pass break up.
The Rattler freshman will host Huffman-Hargrave Thursday, Sept. 14, at 5 p.m.
