Thorndale wins battle of the Bulldogs

Iola was hoping to end their final non-district home game with a win, but Thorndale won the battle of the Bulldogs 42-6.
It was a hardfought effort from Iola (1-3), but in the end, they were outmanned. Senior Wesley Alexander scored the Bulldog’s lone touchdown. He rushed for 57 yards over the course of the game. Senior receiver, Cale Creamer led the team with 29 receiving yards.
This Friday, Sept. 23, the Bulldogs will gear up and take a trip to Rusk High School, where they will face off against the Maud Cardinals (3-1). The game is slated for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.
