Rattler runners advance to Regionals

Navasota had two runners secure their spot at the 4-A Region IV meet with top-10 finishes at the District 25-4A meet at Sealy High School.

Israel Yanez placed seventh with a time of 17 minutes 30 seconds. He was followed by Adrian Castillo who placed ninth with a time of 17:36. Navasota narrowly missed advancing to Regionals as a team, finishing behind Royal 80-79.

Other Rattlers competing at the district meet were Rodrigo Hernandez, 16th, Fabian Castillo, 19th, Darwin Duran, 29th, Nolan Ruiz, 30th and Ricardo Alvarado, 35th.

The 4-A Region IV Meet is Oct. 23-24 at Texas A&M Corpus Christi.
