“Carnival Sunday” will be held at Zion Lutheran Church Sunday, Sept. 18 on the church grounds, 455 FM 149 in Anderson. The day will start out with Sunday school from 9-10 a.m. followed by the worship service from 10-11 a.m. The carnival will begin at 11:30 a.m. Join this parish for brisket plates and carnival games. A free will offering will be taken up for repairs on the parsonage roof.

I was appreciative of the invitation and holding that big check for $10,000 that the Grimes Health Resource Center will be given. The Madisonville group was there so I met those ladies too. The WHCVFD was busy selling first Saturday BBQ sandwiches.
