The 50th anniversary party for Art and Barbara Courville was a huge success. It was great to see people I haven’t seen in a long time. I really enjoyed the hugs.

Tammy asked me to make the cakes for this occasion and I want to thank all the people who complimented me. The community center was decorated so elegant. I wish I would have thought to bring some of that sangria home. I believe that Shan, Art’s sister, made it and it was good.

Pastor Selle, the pastor who married them, attended along with his wife and one of their daughters. He shared the blessing and kind words. He reminded me he still refers to my family as the “mayonnaise” family. My dad worked at Holsum Foods which used to be on the block where Prosperity Bank is now located. They made dressings, not a variety like in the stores now, and they bottled olives. I know members of Salem were excited to visit with the Selles.
