I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year.

There isn’t much news to share since I have not been out and about. I really appreciate all the friendly people we have in our community - it is a blessing. The Popper family and I gathered at P. Nemirs to watch the parade. It was raining Saturday, but we made it to town. The rain held off long enough for the parade to happen. Kacie braved running to the street so Kohen could see and recognize Uncle Chucky in the NHS Band. I really felt bad for those students. Poor Chucky was somewhat wet when I picked him up. It is good that I have leather seats. Kohen isn’t fond of the dark, so he was cautious of the crowd, flashing lights and so many HoHoHo (Santa). That little 23-pound human gets heavy so LaLa and Gingi had to swap occasionally holding him.

Good news! Shawn Welch was scheduled to return home on Tuesday. There will still be more rehab but being home is a much better atmosphere. Please continue to pray for his recovery.

Salem Lutheran in White Hall is having a Children’s Service on Christmas Eve beginning at 6:45 p.m. Everyone is welcomed to attend. There are several other churches in the community who will be having their Christmas Services and I know they also welcome visitors.

These friends include Lois Bell, Jean Fleischhauer, Margaret and Pastor Schultz, Sue Kolojaco, Mary Bauer, Rosa Finke, Delores Mitschke, Mary Whatley, Billie Wittenbach, Kathy Wells, Alexander Hanna, Troy Weigand, Shawn Welch, Wyndy Kimich, Betty Feldmann and infant, Weston, great grandson of Jim and Earline Britt
