Civic Club needs new roof
Area family members of Henry Davis were sorry to learn of his death Wednesday, Nov. 9. At the time of his death, he was a resident of Ft. Worth. There was not a funeral service. He is survived by two sons, Henry and Michael, along with other family members. Do remember them all in your prayers. He was the son of the late Joe and Lena Davis.
Area friends of Millard Wiley 3rd were sorry to learn of his death Nov. 3. I don’t have information about funeral arrangements. Do remember his loved ones in your prayers.
The monthly meeting of the Iola North Zulch Order of the Eastern Star No 458 will be held Monday, Nov. 28, at the Pyramid Masonic Lodge in North Zulch. The meeting will begin with a covered dish at 6:30 p.m. and followed by the business meeting. All Eastern Star members are invited to attend.
Keith Civic Club held their monthly meeting Thursday, Nov. 17, at the Keith Community Center. A fair number of members attended. The traditional Thanksgiving meal was enjoyed by all. Following the meal, the business meeting was held. The main item of business discussed was the need for a new roof. A new roof will cost approximately $15,000. A third of the amount was raised. Orphans Friend Masonic Lodge No. 17 will host their monthly meeting Monday, Dec. 5, at their lodge hall in Anderson. The meeting will begin with a covered dish meal at 6 p.m. Bedias Masonic Lodge No. 651 will meet Tuesday, Dec. 6, beginning with a covered dish meal at 6:30 p.m. The business meeting follows at 7:30 p.m. All Masons are invited to attend meetings.
