Saint Francis Wolf Sanctuary in Navasota needs food trucks and vendors for its Festival of the Wolves event Saturday, Oct. 15, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Plantersville Masonic Lodge is a blood drive Saturday, Aug. 27, from 9 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Contact Charles Lee, 281-636-4193 for more information.

Texas 4-H is a club for children age 5-18. It is the largest youth development program in Texas with more than 550,000 youth each year. You may think 4-H is only for your friends with animals, but it’s so much more! You can do activities like shooting sports, food science, healthy living, robotics, fashion and photography.

St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 8227 CR 205 in Plantersville is hosting their 128th Annual Homecoming Bazaar Sunday, Sept. 4, from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. There will be a live auction, must be registered to bid. Barbecue plates are $15. For more information call, 936-894-2223.

Grimes County come out and help us celebrate Macedonia Baptist Church, 6957 CR 206, Plantersville in the Blackberry Community. The Homecoming and Dedication Service is Sunday, Sept. 18, at 2 p.m. We are celebrating all of God’s Blessings of restoration and showing all Homecomers near and far the goodness of God. Todd MissionVFD Rehab is currently reaching out to the public for donation assistance. Due to the extreme heat and the high call volume firefighters have faced, resources are exhausting quickly. Items needed include: Gatorade or electrolyte drinks, jerky, peanut butter or cheese crackers, granola bars, fruit juice/ cups, paper goods etc. Contact Lynn Lord, 936-203-6770 for more information. You may drop off donations in-person at the department during Wednesday night meetings at 7 p.m.
