Don’t forget their will be a food safety workshop Friday, Aug. 2, from 8 a.m. till 2 p.m. at the Grimes County Annex Building in Navasota, 205 Veterans Memorial Dr. Lessons in kitchen safety and hand-washing techniques are some of the areas that will be taught. The Guardian Angels of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Plantersville is sponsoring a five-day, four-night trip to Biloxi and New Orleans Sept. 23 through 27. The price is $499 per person based on double occupancy. A deposit of $74 was due in May. Contact Nancy Schlottman, 936-597-8327.
