It’s an exciting time for many young people in Grimes County. The Grimes County Fair reported an exceptional year under the circumstances. Hats off to all those who made this possible. Many hours go into preparing for the fair that takes place in our county each year. This year was no exception as things had to be done a little different than normal years.
The Grimes County Fair board and volunteers worked hard to make this year’s fair a huge success. If you happen to see any of the board members or volunteers, please give them a pat on the back cause they certainly deserve it. Our youth worked all year preparing for the event and this group of people made it possible.
Richards ISD Graduating Seniors held their graduation Monday, June 8. Due to the virus and other reasons everyone was not able to attend. If you wanted to be there and couldn’t, RISD live streamed it on their Facebook page. Modern technology sure comes in handy at times like these.
Other Schools throughout the county held their graduations as well. Best wishes in the future to all of the 2020 graduating seniors. This may not be the way a lot of seniors had planned their graduation to go, but it surely will be a year of graduations that everyone will always remember.
