Keith Civic Club will meet Thursday, Oct. 27, at the Keith Community Center. The meeting will begin with a covered dish meal at 6:30 p.m. followed by the business meeting. Everyone is invited to attend. Bedias Masonic Lodge No 651 will meet Tuesday, Nov. 1, beginning with a covered dish meal at 6: 30 p.m. Orphans Friend Masonic Lodge No 17 will meet at their lodge hall in Anderson Monday, Nov. 7. The meeting begins with a meal at 6 p.m. All Masons are invited to attend both meetings. Keith Civic Club will host a garage sale at Keith Community Center Saturday, Nov. 5, beginning at 8 a.m. All sort of good items will be available for sale. The sale will end at approximately 2 p.m. If you would like to set up your own sale outside the community center that day, spaces will be available for $25 each. If you want a table, those are $10 each. Help make this a wonderful day. Hope to see you there.
Evergreen Baptist Church’s Family Fall Festival is Wednesday, Oct. 26, from 6:30 – 8 p.m. There will be hotdogs, smores, infl atables, cake walk, bingo, volleyball, gaga ball, cornhole and much more. Come out and enjoy all the fun. Everyone is welcome to attend. There was a good turnout at Iola Food Pantry Saturday, Oct. 15, at Iola Missionary Church Fellowship Hall. Approximately 65 people or families came for assistance. Members of the church as well as members of Cross Baptist Church helped work the event. There were a good number of workers that assisted. Pyramid Masonic Lodge No 593 held their monthly meeting Oct. 18, at their lodge hall in North Zulch with good attendance. The meeting began with a covered dish meal including ribs. During the meeting, Wight Worshipful, Arthur Carl Deno Dean was present. He is the District Deputy Grand Master of Masonic District 29A of the most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Texas. He brought the message from the Worship Grand Master of Texas. Happy birthday this week to the following: Oct. 23 – Tina Compian Parra; Oct. 24 – Roger Dale Glass, twins Sewall Stewart and Sue Ellen Stewart Bratigan; Wendy Dixon; Oct. 25 – Tammy Mc-Duffie Harvey, Mark Davis, Patti Butts, Janet Hays; Oct. 26 – Robert Mitchell, Mike Trant, Tammy Martin, Teresa Kildare, Mike Altimore, Pam Bushman, Wayne Rucker; Oct. 27 – Jordyn Trant; Oct. 28 – Cheyenne Woodley; Oct. 29 – Polly Lynn Jarvis. Do hope your special day was a happy one. Happy anniversary this week to David and Dorothy Gast, married Oct. 23. Join me in wishing them many more years of happiness together.
