The City of Navasota is promoting shopping small with a gift basket giveaway. Save your local receipts from Nov. 25 – Dec. 13. Take your receipts to Navasota City Hall or email a picture of the receipt to, invest@navasotatx.gov or text it to 936870-5134.

The KBTX Food for Families Food Drive is Wednesday, Dec. 6. Donations will be accepted in Grimes County at Midsouth Electric in Navasota from 5 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Historic Downtown Navasota presents their fourth annual holiday sip and shop Saturday, Dec. 2 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

November is Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month. About one in nine people 65 or older haveAlzheimer’s Disease.

The Operation Blue Santa Raffle is Dec. 1. Help Navasota Police Department assist deserving children this holiday season by supporting Operation Blue Santa. Raffle tickets are $5 and may be purchased at Citizens State Bank.

The City of Plantersville’s annual Christmas Parade is Saturday, Dec. 2, at 10 a.m. Parade route begins at the Plantersville- Stoneham Fire Department. The annual community Christmas party will follow.

City of Navasota’s Home for the Holidays event is Saturday, Dec. 9. The festivities include a Farmers Market, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., photos with Santa, 1-5 p.m., children’s Christmas fun, 1-5 p.m., Christmas parade, 6 p.m. and the City Hall tree lighting after the parade.
