Dodgeball

Evergreen Baptist Church will be having the annual dodgeball tournament April 13 at the old Iola school gym. There will be two age groups playing, 13-years-old and older and 5 to 12-years-old. Each team will consist of five players. Children in the 5 to 12 group will have a registration fee of $5 per player. The 13 and older group will have a registration fee of $10 per player. There is a $1 admission for everyone else.

Registration forms can be downloaded at www.evergreenbaptist.net/forms/ or you can register at the door. The event is open to anyone interested in having some fun! All proceeds go toward sending students to church camp this summer.

•The Grimes County horse show will be May 29 through May 31, starting at 7 p.m. each evening at the Grimes County Fairgrounds. The whole community is invited to come out and support our youth. If you are interested in sponsoring the horse show, individuals and companies can contact the horse show committee through Facebook at GCFA horse show or by contacting Bonnie Stewart at Bonnie.Stewart@BVEH.com or Jeffery Shive at Jshive04@gmail.com.

•Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the junior and major Little Dribblers girls’ teams. It was such a blessing to watch the community come out in droves to support these girls. Your efforts helped them raise a good amount of money that will go towards expenses they will have at the state tournament.

•The high school track meet will start at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, March 28, in Anderson.

•Junior varsity and varsity baseball will play in Burton with the games starting at 430 p.m. Friday, March 29.

•Varsity softball will host Snook starting at 6 p.m. Friday, March 29.

•There will be an elementary PTO meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday, April

1.
